A Brew Steeped in History and Reverence
Some traditions stand the test of time—not just because they are old, but because they are meaningful. Turkish Coffee is one of the oldest and most storied brewing methods, offering a rich, unfiltered experience that is as much about ritual as it is about taste.
It’s a slow, immersive process, producing a cup that is bold, smooth, and uniquely textured. With each sip, you’re not just drinking coffee—you’re partaking in a tradition that stretches back centuries.
Recommended Grind & Roast
🔹 Grind: Extra Fine – Like flour, ensuring full immersion and an ultra-rich texture.
🔹 Best Roasts: Dark Roasts – Holding up to the thick, foamy consistency.
☕ Best Catholic Coffee Roasts for Turkish Coffee
✔ Padre Pio Espresso Roast (Medium-Dark Roast) – Smooth yet intense, with dark cherry and chocolate notes, ideal for a deep, complex Turkish brew.
✔ St. Michael Dark Roast (Dark Roast) – Bold and rich, perfect for the slow, meditative process of Turkish Coffee.
How to Brew Turkish Coffee
1️⃣ Add finely ground coffee (about 2 heaping teaspoons per 3 ounces of water) to a cezve (small pot).
2️⃣ Add sugar (optional), then pour in cold water and stir gently.
3️⃣ Slowly heat the cezve over low heat—do not stir once heating begins.
4️⃣ As the coffee foams, remove from heat just before it boils. Let it settle.
5️⃣ Repeat the heating and removal process 2-3 times to develop richness.
6️⃣ Pour carefully into a cup—grounds will settle at the bottom, giving the coffee its signature texture.
7️⃣ Breathe it in. Allow the aroma to prepare you for the richness of the first sip.
📖 Prayer in the Waiting:
“Lord, teach me to embrace patience, to savor the richness You provide, and to find joy in every tradition that brings me closer to You. Amen.”
