At Catholic Coffee, our commitment to faith isn’t just about what’s in your cup—it’s about who we serve. For us, that includes the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our country. This mission is deeply personal. Three of the nine Hetzel children—the family behind Catholic Coffee—served in the U.S. Armed Forces. We’ve seen firsthand the sacrifices service members and their families make, and we know how much they need spiritual support, wherever duty calls.
That’s why we’re honored to support the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS)—the Catholic Church’s ministry to those who serve.
What Is the AMS?
🔹 A Church Without Borders – Unlike a traditional diocese, the AMS has no geographic boundaries. Its mission follows wherever U.S. military personnel are stationed, from bases across the country to ships at sea and posts overseas.
🔹 Serving 1.8 Million Catholics – The AMS provides pastoral care and sacraments to more than 1.8 million service members, veterans, and their families. That includes Catholics at 220 military installations, 153 VA hospitals, and 134 countries worldwide.
🔹 Ensuring the Sacraments Are Never Out of Reach – Military life takes Catholics far from their home parishes, but the AMS ensures they can still receive Mass, Confession, Marriage Prep, Confirmation, and spiritual direction, no matter where they are.
🔹 Forming Military Chaplains – The AMS recruits and supports Catholic priests who serve as military chaplains, offering the spiritual strength, guidance, and encouragement our service members need.
