At Catholic Coffee, we’re more than just roasters—we’re a big Catholic family with a small business heart. Behind every bag of coffee is a story rooted in faith, family, and the desire to help people encounter God in the everyday.

We’re not a faceless company. We’re the Hetzel family—nine kids strong—complete with all the beautiful chaos that comes with it. That includes everything from early-morning rosaries and big Sunday breakfasts to us kids shipping orders as warehouse workers (in the early days!) and dreaming up new blends inspired by our favorite saints.

Faith First, Always

From the beginning, this mission has been about more than coffee. It’s about helping people pray more intentionally—about turning something as ordinary as your morning cup into a moment of stillness and connection with God.

We believe holiness starts at home. And so, our family life and our business life have always gone hand in hand. We’ve built Catholic Coffee around our own rhythms of faith—morning offerings, feast days, novenas—and we love getting to share that with you.

Coffee That Feeds the Soul

Our beans are ethically sourced and roasted in-house by Chelsea (our amazing head roaster and fellow Scripture nerd). We take pride in every batch—not just because we want it to taste great (we do), but because we know the person on the other end of that order is likely trying to live a life of prayer and purpose too. Just like us.

We also use Catholic Coffee as a way to give back—especially to causes close to our hearts. One of our biggest commitments is to the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, which serves Catholic chaplains and service members around the world.

That mission is deeply personal to us. Three of our brothers have served in the military, and we’ve seen firsthand how spiritually under-supported our troops can be. Chaplains are few, but their presence is vital.
